فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا بَـٰعِدْ بَيْنَ أَسْفَارِنَا وَظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ وَمَزَّقْنَـٰهُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ

EnglishSaheeh International
But [insolently] they said, "Our Lord, lengthen the distance between our journeys," and wronged themselves, so We made them narrations and dispersed them in total dispersion. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.

ஆனால், அவர்கள் "எங்கள் இறைவா! எங்களுடைய பிரயாண(ம் செய்யும் இட)ங்களுக்கு இடையேயுள்ள தூரத்தை அதிகமாக்குவாயாக!" என்று வேண்டித் தமக்குத் தாமே அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டார்கள்; ஆகவே அவர்களை (பழங்) கதைகளாக ஆக்கி விட்டோம் இன்னும் அவர்களை(ப் பல இடங்களில்) சிதறிப்போகும் படியாய் சிதற வைத்தோம்; நிச்சயமாக இதில் பொறுமையாளர் நன்றி செலுத்துவோர் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

“අපගේ පරමාධිපතියාණනි! අපගේ ගමන් අතර දුරස් කරනු මැනව” යැයි ඔවුහු ඉල්ලා සිටියෝ ය. ඔවුහු ඔවුනට ම අපරාධ කර ගත්තෝ ය. එහෙයින් අපි ඔවුන් (පුරාණ) පුවත් බවට පත් කළෙමු. තවද ඔවුන්ව මුළුමණින් ම වෙන් කර විසුරුවා හැරියෙමු. නියත වශයෙන් ම එහි ඉවසිලිවන්ත කෘතවේදී සෑම කෙනෙකුට ම සංඥා ඇත.

لیکن انہوں نے پھر کہا کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! ہمارے سفر دور دراز کردے چونکہ خود انہوں نے اپنے ہاتھوں اپنا برا کیا اس لئے ہم نے انہیں (گزشتہ) فسانوں کی صورت میں کردیا اور ان کے ٹکڑے ٹکڑے اڑا دیئے۔ بلاشبہ ہر ایک صبروشکر کرنے والے کے لئے اس (ماجرے) میں بہت سی عبرتیں ہیں.

それなのにかれらは言った。「主よ,わたしたちの旅程の間隔をもっと遠くして下さい。」こうしてかれら自らその身を誤まった。われはかれら凡てを粉々にして散らし,(後の人の)語り草とした。本当にこの中には,堅忍して感謝する者たちへの(われの)印がある。

然后,他们说:我们的主啊!求你放长各站之间的距离。他们自欺,所以我以他们为谈助。我使他们流离失所。对于每个多忍多谢的人,此中确有许多迹象。

Tafsir of 34:19

The Trade of Saba' and Their Destruction Allah tells us about the blessings which the people of Saba' enjoyed, and the luxuries and plentiful provision which was theirs in their land, with its secure dwellings and towns which were joined to one another, with many trees, crops and fruits. When they traveled, they had no need to carry provisions or water with them; wherever they stopped, they would find water and fruits, so they could take their noontime rest in one town, and stay overnight in another, according to their needs on their journey. Allah says: وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ الْقُرَى الَّتِى بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا (And We placed, between them and the towns which We had blessed,) Mujahid, Al-Hasan, Sa`id bin Jubayr and Malik, who narrated it from Zayd bin Aslam, and Qatadah, Ad-Dahhak, As-Suddi, Ibn Zayd and others -- all said that this means the towns of Syria. It means they used to travel from Yemen to Syria via towns easy to be seen and connected to one another.…
