فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ ۖ وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ

EnglishSaheeh International
So We sent upon them a screaming wind during days of misfortune to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped.

ஆதலினால், இவ்வுலக வாழ்வில் அவர்கள் இழிவு தரும் வேதனையைச் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்ய, கெட்ட நாட்களில் அவர்கள் மீது ஒரு கொடிய புயல் காற்றை அனுப்பினோம் மேலும், மறுமையிலுள்ள வேதனையோ மிகவும் இழிவுள்ளதாகும் அன்றியும் அவர்கள் (எவராலும்) உதவி செய்யப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.

بالﺂخر ہم نے ان پر ایک تیز و تند آندھی منحوس دنوں میں بھیج دی کہ انہیں دنیاوی زندگی میں ذلت کے عذاب کامزه چکھا دیں، اور (یقین مانو) کہ آخرت کا عذاب اس سے بہت زیاده رسوائی واﻻ ہے اور وه مدد نہیں کیے جائیں گے.

Tafsir of 41:16

A Warning to the Disbelievers and a Reminder of the Story of `Ad and Thamud Allah says: `Say, O Muhammad, to these idolators who disbelieve in the message of truth that you have brought: If you turn away from that which I have brought to you from Allah, then I warn you of the punishment of Allah like the punishment that the past nations suffered for disbelieving in the Messengers.' صَعِقَةً مِّثْلَ صَعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ (a Sa`iqah like the Sa`iqah which overtook `Ad and Thamud.) and other similar nations who did what they did, إِذْ جَآءَتْهُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ (When the Messengers came to them, from before them and behind them) This is like the Ayah: وَاذْكُرْ أَخَا عَادٍ إِذْ أَنذَرَ قَوْمَهُ بِالاٌّحْقَافِ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ النُّذُرُ مِن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ (And remember (Hud) the brother of `Ad, when he warned his people in Al-Ahqaf. And surely, there have passed away warners before him and after him) (46:21). which means that in the neighboring towns and cities, Allah sent Messengers who commanded the people to worship Allah Alone with no partner or associate, and they brought good news as well as warnings.…
