يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ

EnglishSaheeh International: They want to extinguish the light of Allāh with their mouths, but Allāh will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.
TamilJan Trust Foundation: அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் ஒளியைத் தம் வாய்களைக் கொண்டு (ஊதி) அணைத்து விட நாடுகின்றனர், ஆனால் காஃபிர்கள் வெறுத்த போதிலும், அல்லாஹ் தன் ஒளியைப் பூரணமாக்கியே வைப்பான்.
SinhalaRuwwad Center: අල්ලාහ්ගේ ආලෝකය ඔවුන් ඔවුන්ගේ මුඛවලින් (පිඹ) නිවා දැමීමට අපේක්ෂා කරති. තවද දේවත්වය ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කරන්නන් පිළිකුල් කළ ද අල්ලාහ් තම ආලෝකය පූර්ණවත් කරන්නා ය.
UrduMaulana Muhammad Junagarhi: وه چاہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کے نور کو اپنے منھ سے بجھا دیں اور اللہ اپنے نور کو کمال تک پہنچانے واﻻ ہے گو کافر برا مانیں.
JapaneseRyoichi Mita: かれらはアッラーの御光を，口先で消そうと望んでいる。だがアッラーは例え不信心者たちが忌み嫌おうとも御自分の光（イスラーム）を現わした。
ChineseMa Jian: 他们想吹灭真主的光明，但真主要完成他的光明，即使不信道的人不愿意。

Tafsir of 61:8

The Most Unjust among all People Allah said, وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُوَ يُدْعَى إِلَى الإِسْلاَمِ (And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allah, while he is being invited to Islam) meaning, none is more unjust than he who lies about Allah and calls upon rivals and associates partners with Him, even while he is being invited to Tawhid and sincerely worshipping Him. This is why Allah said, وَاللَّهُ لاَ يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الظَّلِمِينَ (And Allah guides not the people who are wrongdoers.) Allah said, يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِئُواْ نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَهِهِمْ (They intend to put out the Light of Allah with their mouths.) indicating that the disbelievers will try to contradict the truth with falsehood. Their attempts are similar to one's attempt to extinguish the sun with his mouth, which is impossible. Likewise is the case of their attempt to extinguish truth.…
