Surah An-Nur, Verse 60

وَٱلْقَوَٰعِدُ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ٱلَّـٰتِى لَا يَرْجُونَ نِكَاحًا فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ أَن يَضَعْنَ ثِيَابَهُنَّ غَيْرَ مُتَبَرِّجَـٰتٍۭ بِزِينَةٍ ۖ وَأَن يَسْتَعْفِفْنَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُنَّ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

EnglishSaheeh International
And women of post-menstrual age who have no desire for marriage - there is no blame upon them for putting aside their outer garments [but] not displaying adornment. But to modestly refrain [from that] is better for them. And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.

மேலும், பெண்களில் விவாகத்தை நாட முடியாத (முதிர்ந்து) வயதை அடைந்து விட்ட பெண்கள், தங்கள் அழகலங்காரத்தை(ப் பிறருக்கு) வெளியாக்காதவர்களான நிலையில், தங்கள் மேலாடைகளைக் கழற்றியிருப்பது, அவர்கள் மீது குற்றமில்லை ஆனால் (இதனையும் அவர்கள் தவிர்த்து) ஒழுங்கைப் பேணிக்கொள்வது அவர்களுக்கு மிகவும் நலமாக இருக்கும். அல்லாஹ் (யாவற்றையும்) செவியேற்பவன்; நன்கறிபவன்.

තවද විවාහයක් අපේක්ෂා නො කරන කාන්තාවන් අතරින් වයෝවෘද්ධ කාන්තාවන් වනාහි ඔවුන් (තම) අලංකාරය ප්‍රදර්ශනය කිරීමෙන් තොරව (මතුපිට) ඇඳුම් ගලවා තැබීම ඔවුන් කෙරෙහි වරදක් නොමැත. එහෙත් ඔවුන් තැන්පත් බව රැකීම ඔවුනට වඩාත් උතුම් ය. තවද අල්ලාහ් සර්ව ශ්‍රාවක ය; සර්ව ඥානී ය.

بڑی بوڑھی عورتیں جنہیں نکاح کی امید (اور خواہش ہی) نہ رہی ہو وه اگر اپنے کپڑے اتار رکھیں تو ان پر کوئی گناه نہیں بشرطیکہ وه اپنا بناؤ سنگھار ﻇاہر کرنے والیاں نہ ہوں ، تاہم اگر ان سے بھی احتیاط رکھیں تو ان کے لئے بہت افضل ہے، اور اللہ تعالیٰ سنتا جانتا ہے.

Tafsir of 24:60

The Times when Servants and Young Children should seek Permission to enter These Ayat include a discussion of how people who are closely related should seek permission to enter upon one another. What was mentioned earlier in the Surah had to do with how unrelated people should seek permission to enter upon one another. Allah commanded the believers to ensure that their servants and their children who have not yet reached puberty should seek permission at three times: the first is before the Fajr prayer, because people are asleep in their beds at that time. وَحِينَ تَضَعُونَ ثِيَبَكُمْ مِّنَ الظَّهِيرَةِ (and while you put off your clothes during the afternoon,) means, at the time of rest, because a man may be in a state of undress with his wife at that time. وَمِن بَعْدِ صَلَوةِ الْعِشَآءِ (and after the `Isha' prayer.) because this is the time for sleep. Servants and children are commanded not to enter upon household members at these times, because it is feared that a man may be in an intimate situation with his wife and so on.…
