ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَصَابَهُمُ ٱلْقَرْحُ ۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

EnglishSaheeh International: Those [believers] who responded to Allāh and the Messenger after injury had struck them. For those who did good among them and feared Allāh is a great reward -
TamilJan Trust Foundation: அவர்கள் எத்ததையோரென்றால், தங்களுக்கு(ப் போரில்) காயம்பட்ட பின்னரும் அல்லாஹ்வுடையவும், (அவனுடைய) ரஸூலுடையவும் அழைப்பை ஏற்(று மீண்டும் போருக்குச் சென்)றனர்; அத்தகையோரில் நின்றும் யார் அழகானவற்றைச் செய்து, இன்னும் பாவத்திலிருந்து தங்களைக் காத்துக் கொள்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு மகத்தான நற்கூலியிருக்கிறது.

ChineseMa Jian: 他们遭受创伤之后仍应真主和使者的召唤。他们中行善而且敬畏的人，得享受重大的报酬。

Tafsir of 3:172

Virtues of the Martyrs Allah states that even though the martyrs were killed in this life, their souls are alive and receiving provisions in the Dwelling of Everlasting Life. In his Sahih, Muslim recorded that Masruq said, "We asked `Abdullah about this Ayah, وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِى سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَتاً بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ (Think not of those as dead who are killed in the way of Allah. Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, and they have provision.) He said, `We asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the same question and he said, «أَرْوَاحُهُمْ فِي جَوْفِ طَيْرٍ خُضْرٍ، لَهَا قَنَادِيلُ مُعَلَّقَةٌ بِالْعَرْشِ، تَسْرَحُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ شَاءَتْ، ثُمَّ تَأْوِي إِلَى تِلْكَ الْقَنَادِيلِ، فَاطَّلَعَ إِلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمُ اطِّلَاعَةً فَقَالَ: هَلْ تَشْتَهُونَ شَيْئًا؟ فَقَالُوا: أَيَّ شَيْءٍ نَشْتَهِي وَنَحْنُ نَسْرَحُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ شِئْنَا؟ فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِهِمْ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا أَنَّهُمْ لَنْ يُتْرَكُوا مِنْ أَنْ يُسْأَلُوا، قَالُوا: يَا رَبِّ نُرِيدُ أَنْ تَرُدَّ أَرْوَاحَنَا فِي أَجْسَادِنَا حَتَّى نُقْتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِكَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى، فَلَمَّا رَأَى أَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ حَاجَةٌ، تُرِكُوا» (Their souls are insi…
