Surah Al-Kahf, Verse 14

وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ إِذْ قَامُوا۟ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَن نَّدْعُوَا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَـٰهًا ۖ لَّقَدْ قُلْنَآ إِذًا شَطَطًا

EnglishSaheeh International
And We bound [i.e., made firm] their hearts when they stood up and said, "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Never will we invoke besides Him any deity. We would have certainly spoken, then, an excessive transgression.

அவர்கள் (கொடுமைக்கார அரசன் முன்னிலையில்) எழுந்து நின்று "வானங்களுக்கும், பூமிக்கும் இறைவனாகிய அவனே, எங்களுடைய இறைவன்; எக்காலத்தும் அவனையன்றி வேறு எவரையும் நாயனென்று அழைக்க மாட்டோம்; (அப்படிச் செய்தால் குஃப்ரில் கொண்டு சேர்க்கும்) - வரம்பு மீறியதைச் சொன்னவர்கள் ஆவோம்" என்று அவர்கள் உறுதியாகக் கூறிய நிலையில் அவர்கள் இதயங்களை நாம் வலுப்படுத்தினோம்.

තවද ඔවුහු අවදි වී ‘අපගේ පරමාධිපති අහස් හා මහපොළොවේ හිමිපාණන් ය. ඔහුගෙන් තොරව කිසිදු දෙවියකුට අපි ඇරයුම් නො කරන්නෙමු. එවිට (එසේ කළේ නම්) සැබැවින් ම අපි බොරුවක්ම පවසා ඇත්තෙමු’ යැයි ඔවුහු පැවසූ විට ඔවුන්ගේ හදවත් අපි ශක්තිමත් කළෙමු.

ہم نے ان کے دل مضبوط کردیئے تھے جب کہ یہ اٹھ کھڑے ہوئے اور کہنے لگے کہ ہمارا پروردگار تو وہی ہے جو آسمان وزمین کا پروردگار ہے، ناممکن ہے کہ ہم اس کے سوا کسی اور معبود کو پکاریں اگر ایسا کیا تو ہم نے نہایت ہی غلط بات کہی.

我曾使他们的心坚忍。当时,他们站起来说:我们的主,是天地的主,我们绝不舍他而祈祷任何神明,否则,我们必定说出不近情理的话。

Tafsir of 18:14

Their Belief in Allah and their Retreat from their People From here Allah begins to explain the story in detail. He states that they were boys or young men, and that they were more accepting of the truth and more guided than the elders who had become stubbornly set in their ways and clung to the religion of falsehood. For the same reason, most of those who responded to Allah and His Messenger were young people. As for the elders of Quraysh, most of them kept to their religion and only a few of them became Muslims. So Allah tells us that the people of the cave were young men. Mujahid said, "I was informed that some of them wore some kind of earrings, then Allah guided them and inspired them to fear Him, so they recognized His Oneness, and bore witness that there is no god besides Him." وَزِدْنَهُمْ هُدًى (and We increased them in guidance.) From this and other similar Ayat, several scholars, such as Al-Bukhari and others, understood that faith may increase, that it may vary in degrees, and that it may fluctuate.…
