۞ وَإِذِ ٱسْتَسْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِۦ فَقُلْنَا ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْحَجَرَ ۖ فَٱنفَجَرَتْ مِنْهُ ٱثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ عَيْنًا ۖ قَدْ عَلِمَ كُلُّ أُنَاسٍ مَّشْرَبَهُمْ ۖ كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ مِن رِّزْقِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ

EnglishSaheeh International
And [recall] when Moses prayed for water for his people, so We said, "Strike with your staff the stone." And there gushed forth from it twelve springs, and every people [i.e., tribe] knew its watering place. "Eat and drink from the provision of Allāh, and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption."

மூஸா தம் சமூகத்தாருக்காகத் தண்ணீர் வேண்டிப் பிரார்த்தித்த போது, "உமது கைத்தடியால் அப்பாறையில் அடிப்பீராக!" என நாம் கூறினோம்; அதிலிருந்து பன்னிரண்டு நீர் ஊற்றுக்கள் பொங்கியெழுந்தன. ஒவ்வொரு கூட்டத்தினரும் அவரவர் குடி நீர்த்துறையை நன்கு அறிந்து கொண்டனர்; "அல்லாஹ் அருளிய ஆகாரத்திலிருந்து உண்ணுங்கள், பருகுங்கள்; பூமியில் குழப்பஞ்செய்து கொண்டு திரியாதீர்கள்" (என நாம் கூறினோம்) என்பதையும் நினைவு கூறுங்கள்.

තවද මූසා තම ජනයා වෙනුවෙන් ජලය පැතූ අවස්ථාව සිහිපත් කරනු. එවිට නුඹ නුඹගේ සැරයටියෙන් ගලට ගසනු යැයි අපි පැවසුවෙමු. එවිට උල්පත් දොළොසක් එයින් පිපිරී මතු විය. සෑම ජන සමූහයක් ම ඔවුන් පානය කළ යුතු ස්ථානය දැන ගත්හ. නුඹලා අල්ලාහ් පිරිනැමූ පෝෂණයෙන් අනුභව කරනු. තවද පානය කරනු. කලහ කරන්නන් ලෙස මහපොළොවේ සීමාව ඉක්මවා නො සැරිසරනු.

اور جب موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) نے اپنی قوم کے لئے پانی مانگا تو ہم نے کہا کہ اپنی ﻻٹھی پتھر پر مارو، جس سے باره چشمے پھوٹ نکلے اور ہر گروه نے اپنا چشمہ پہچان لیا (اور ہم نے کہہ دیا کہ) اللہ تعالیٰ کا رزق کھاؤ پیو اورزمین میں فساد نہ کرتے پھرو۔

またムーサーがその民のために,水を求めて祈った時を思い起せ。われは,「あなたの杖で岩を打て。」と言った。するとそこから,12の泉が涌き出て,各支族は,自分の水場を知った。「アッラーから授かった糧を,食べ且つ飲みなさい。堕落して,地上で悪を行ってはならない。 」

当时,穆萨替他的宗族祈水,我说:你用手杖打那磐石吧。十二道水泉,就从那磐石里涌出来,各部落都知道自己的饮水处。你们可以吃饮真主的给养,你们不要在地方上为非作歹。

Tafsir of 2:60

Twelve Springs gush forth Allah said, "Remember My favor on you when I answered the supplication of your Prophet, Musa, when he asked Me to provide you with water. I made the water available for you, making it gush out through a stone. Twelve springs burst out of that stone, a designated spring for each of your tribes. You eat from the manna and the quails and drink from the water that I provided for you, without any effort or hardship for you. So worship the One Who did this for you. وَلاَ تَعْثَوْاْ فِى الاٌّرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ (And do not act corruptly, making mischief on the earth) meaning, "Do not return the favor by committing acts of disobedience that cause favors to disappear." Ibn `Abbas said that the Children of Israel, "Had a square stone that Musa was commanded to strike with his staff and, as a result, twelve springs burst out of that stone, three on each side. Each tribe was, therefore, designated a certain spring, and they used to drink from their springs.…
